Road Closures Spring & Summer 2024
South Street Road Closure
We have been advised that Wales & West Utilities will be commencing works on 2nd April to replace a gas main. This work will take place over 5 phases.
Phase One - 2 April 2024 for 6-7 weeks will be a full closure of a section of South Street (see image below). There will be access to the trading estate from the Misterton direction only with traffic lights at the junction.

Phase 1
Phase Two/Three – 20 May 2024 for 10 weeks will be a full closure of the next section of South Street (see image below). There will be access to the trading estate from the town centre direction with traffic lights at the junction. There will be no access in or out of the Kithill junction onto South Street during this phase.

Phase 4: 29/7/24 for 8 weeks, Station Road will be one way. You will be able to travel in towards Crewkerne.
Phase 5: 9/9/24 for 2 weeks there will be a full closure on Station Road at the bridge.
Wales & West will ensure residents can access their property and pedestrian access will remain at all times. Thomson Drive residents will have to turn either right or left, depending on which phase the works are in.
Wales & West will be delivering a newsletter to the town to inform residents of the work and will be in touch directly with any household affected.
